Privacy Policy for ImageTinify

Last Updated: November 20, 2025

At Zelonai (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we believe that your photos are your private property. We built ImageTinify with a “privacy-first” architecture.

This Privacy Policy explains what data ImageTinify collects, how it is used, and how you control your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

The core principle of ImageTinify is on-device processing. We do not upload, store, process, or analyze your photos on any servers. Your photos never leave your device.

1. Information We Access and How We Use It

We only access the minimum amount of data necessary for the App to function.

A. Photo Library Data

  • What we access: We require access to your device’s Photo Library.
  • Purpose (Read Permission): To allow you to select the specific photos you wish to compress within the App. We only access the photos you explicitly choose.
  • Purpose (Add/Write Permission): To save the resulting compressed images back to your Photo Library.
  • Local Processing: The actual compression and analysis of image data happen entirely in your device’s temporary memory (RAM).

B. Locally Stored Usage Metrics

  • What we collect: The App calculates anonymous, aggregate statistics, such as the total count of photos processed and the total megabytes (MB) of storage space saved.
  • Purpose: To show you a summary of the App’s utility on a dashboard.
  • Storage: This data is stored locally on your device’s storage sandbox and is not transmitted to us.

C. Non-Personal Device Information

  • The App may utilize standard iOS operating system data required for running the application (e.g., device language setting, OS version) to ensure compatibility and proper functioning. This data is not linked to your identity.

2. Data Processing and Storage

Transient Processing: When you select a photo for compression, temporary cache files may be created during the processing phase. These files are strictly temporary and are automatically removed by the operating system once processing is complete or when the App is closed.

No Server Storage: We have no servers that receive your photos or personal information. We do not backup your content.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data or photos to outside parties.

  • No Third-Party Trackers: We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics or Firebase) or advertising frameworks in our App.
  • Apple Frameworks: The App relies on native Apple iOS frameworks (such as Photos, SwiftUI, and Core Image) to function. Data handled by these frameworks is subject to Apple’s own privacy policies and your device settings.

4. Data Security

Because your data remains on your device, its security relies on your device’s security settings. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID to prevent unauthorized access to your App data and Photo Library.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

  • Manage Permissions: You can revoke ImageTinify’s access to your Photo Library at any time by going to your iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > ImageTinify. Note that revoking access will prevent the App from functioning.
  • Data Deletion: Since all usage metrics and cached data are stored locally, you can permanently delete all data associated with the App by simply deleting/uninstalling the App from your device. Some local data may also be cleared via the App’s settings menu if that feature is available.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
